Masha Shpolberg’s Report on Liberating Cinema Launch published by Routledge

Liberating Cinema is delighted to announce that the Official Report on The Liberating Cinema Launch (which took place from the 14th-15th December 2020), written by Professor Masha Shpolberg, has been published by the international peer reviewed journal Studies in Eastern European Cinema, Vol. 12, Issue 3, Routledge, Taylor & Francis (Abingdon/New York).

Professor Shpolberg is an Assistant Professor of Film Studies at University of North Carolina Wilmington. We would like to thank her for her report and her heartfelt support of the work of Liberating Cinema. Liberating Cinema hosted its launch as a charitable organisation between the 14th and 15th December 2020. The launch comprised a masterclass with film auteur Amos Gitai on 14th December and a workshop on The Holocaust in the Czechoslovak New Wave, featuring Matěj Strnad, Šárka Sladovníková, Jonathan Owen, and a New Essay by Dina Iordanova, on the 15th December.
